An Etsy Addiction

Why, hello there!

Lauren's lovely intro post already explains our odds & ends friendship, which, by the way, is as wonderfully different as can be. However, our love of a particular site is identical and insurmountable. Now, if you have not yet heard of Etsy.com, you must not have quite the online shopping addiction that I seem to have (It's a problem- I'm working on it.)

For those who are not aware, Etsy is a rather revolutionary site where anyone can have an online shop to market their vintage, handmade, or one of a kind goods. Type your purchasing whims into the search bar and prepare to wear out your credit card. Note: I have done such a thing one too many times. And the results are full of happiness. Here are a few of my favorite purchases:

                                                           (
NotMoira on Etsy)

                                                           (OhKoey on Etsy)

                                              (TackledandShackled on Etsy)

Precious, right? I thought so.

If you're interested in making having a few of these hand wrapped packages sent your way- read on for some of my tips to navigating and purchasing on Etsy.

  • Check the reviews of a seller you're interested in, see the cause of any negative feedback before purchasing.
  • Always pay through PayPal, it keeps you safe and the seller honest.
  • I don't buy from a seller with less than 50 or so sales, and at least 95% positive feedback.
  • Keep your search options open! A broad search query will result in possible items you may not have considered to look for.
  • Talk to the sellers! Custom work or complicated questions- a quick message to the seller will tell you a lot about their customer service (no response=no good) and make for a more personal shopping experience.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page for links to Colors and Gift Ideas!
  • Try and always leave feedback, other shoppers will appreciate your insight.

Wishing you a wonderful week,
Rachel
